On the second Wednesday of every month, one of Britain's great jazzmen, Digby Fairweather, hosts a fabulous night of Jazz at The Cricketers in Westcliff-on-Sea.
Digby sets the bar consistently high with his guests, with the likes of Alan Barnes, Tim Huskisson and Tina May joining him on the stage.
Entry is FREE!
Julian Marc Stringle is one of best and best-loved musicians on the British scene.
Julian made his TV debut at the age of 14 playing with Acker Bilk. Since then he has gone on to play with other legends of the scene such as Kenny Ball, Cleo Lane, Sir John Dankworth and Kenny Baker, as well as playing concerts with Meatloaf and Tina Turner.
Julian comes to the Southend Jazz Festival in a rare solo gig, backed by the Time Huskisson Trio and Southend's very own Digby Fairweather.
Entry is free, but early arrival is recommended, as this event will be popular.
