We are beyond excited to announce a brand new partnership with renowned arts organisation, Metal, to introduce the Southend Jazz Festival's "Artist in Residence" programme.
Thanks to support from Metal, we are able to invite an exciting musician to reside at Chalkwell Hall in Chalkwell Park, Metal's beautiful residence overlooking the Sea. The residency offers time, space and support to develop new material, with opportunities to connect, collaborate and explore.
Our first ever Artist in Residence will be bassist, vocalist, composer and band leader, Isobella Burnham, who will be using the residency as a "writing retreat", to work on material for a new album.
As part of this, Isobella will put on a very special, intimate solo performance at Chalkwell Hall, where she’ll share a glimpse of what she’s been working…
