Dan Mays has been a professional musician for over 20 years. In that time he has realised what he loves most about performing is his connection with both the musicians and the audiences; that feeling of knowing where we are going without the need for verbalisation. The high wire act of group improvisation is an incredibly exciting place for him, a place to truly be free, an excitement which he endeavours to bring to every musical encounter.
His love of saxophone led him to explore the wonders of such musicians as Cannonball Adderly, Ornette Coleman and the mastery of Stan Getz. Expect lots of smiles and engagement from Dan as he navigates the improvisational landscape with Daniel Parker and the rest of the band.
