The Southend Jazz Co-Op is a weekly workshop for local jazz enthusiasts. For the 2026 Southend Jazz Festival, they will be bringing in a special guest workshop leader and we are opening the doors to anybody who wants to join in.

For over 30 years, the Southend Jazz Co-op has been the heart of the local jazz scene, bringing together passionate amateur musicians who share a love for this timeless genre. Under the expert guidance of our Musical Director, John Seeley - a professional saxophonist - we've created a welcoming community where musicians of all levels can grow and perform together.
Every Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm, we gather at the Hadleigh Old Fire Station for workshops and rehearsals that blend learning with the pure joy of making music. Whether you're picking up your instrument for the first time or you've been playing for decades, you'll find a supportive environment to develop your jazz skills.
