About the event
Olivia Cuttill is a Leeds Conservatoire graduate, Peter Whitingham 2024 award winner, London based jazz trumpet player and composer.

Along with her all star band, Olivia comes to the Southend Jazz Festival with her brand new album ‘...And Writing And Singing And Tunes To Be Swingin’.
As the third generation to pursue music in her family (all of which feature on the album) , jazz and blues are deeply rooted in Olivia’s heritage. Heavily influenced by the sounds of New Orleans, inspired by Louis Armstrong and Dr John and the song writing of Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her sound is rich with soul.
