For over 30 years, the Southend Jazz Co-op has been the heart of the local jazz scene, bringing together passionate amateur musicians who share a love for this timeless genre.
Under the expert guidance of our Musical Director, John Seeley - a professional saxophonist - we've created a welcoming community where musicians of all levels can grow and perform together.
As well as our weekly workshops, the Southend Jazz Co-op regularly performs at popular venues such as The Jazz Centre UK, Priory Park Bandstand, and at a variety of community festivals and special events throughout Southend and Essex. We also host masterclasses led by some of the UK's best jazz musicians. Past special guests have included pianist Nikki Iles, trumpeter Steve Waterman, and saxophonist Alan Barnes, offering our members unique opportunities to learn directly from top…
