NEW, BIGGER VENUE FOR 2026
John Seeley's Jazz and Saxophone Group return to Southend Jazz Festival for the 4th consecutive year, having played to full-houses each year since 2023. This year, we are moving the event to the stunning Ballroom at Southend's Palace Hotel (formerly the Park Inn Palace), right at the top of Pier Hill.
The group play a wide repertoire of music including Jazz and Popular tunes. To showcase the talents of the students, they perform Summer and Christmas concerts in Leigh-on-Sea and have also performed on the bandstands in Priory Park, Southend and Castle Park, Colchester to an audience of over 200 people.
They rehearse every Thursday evening, 7.30pm to 9.30pm at The Fisherman's Chapel, New Road, Leigh-on-Sea, and are a relaxed, friendly, welcoming group. All ability levels and instruments are welcome and they are always looking for more members to join their Jazz family.
